Is there airflow but it’s not cold?
Check your fan settings – If you notice the air blowing is sometimes hot and other times cold, make sure the fan setting is set to “auto” and not “on”. Leaving it set to “on” will cause the AC to blow air even if it’s not being cooled.
Check the air filter – If the air coming out seems weak and not very cool, take a look at the air filter. If the filter gets too dirty, it can block airflow and even freeze the inside unit. You will need to change the filters if they are dirty.

Check the outside unit – Is your outside unit covered in dirt, dust or grass? Make sure the unit is clean and free of debris. Trim back any crowding bushes or trees to allow some breathing room.
Take a look inside, if you see ice around the coils it could mean there is reduced airflow because of dirty filters, coils, or poorly working fans, or it could be low refrigerant level, which a pro must check and, if necessary, recharge. More often than not, the problem comes from reduced air flow. Clean and close the unit and turn the power back on as well as the fan. The ice should melt in a couple of hours.

No Air at all?
Check your thermostat settings – Make sure your thermostat is set to “cool”, someone could have accidentally set it to “off’ or “heat”. Set the temperature to be at least 5 degrees below your room temperature.
Check if your system is receiving electricity – Check if the power is on by looking for the switch in the furnace or air handler, and outdoor condenser. Check the main electrical panel for a tripped breaker or blown fuse. Reset the breaker and replace the fuse, if it continues to trip it is most likely a short in the system. Hire a professional if this is the situation.
